Abstract

The phenomenon of climigration—defined as the forced displacement of populations due to the effects of climate change—poses a challenge to social, economic, and political stability on a global scale. This article presents a critical review of the key elements for designing strategies aimed at managing this issue, with a particular focus on adaptation and resilience policies, sustainable urban planning, and international cooperation. It also highlights the importance of strengthening scientific research to develop local solutions, in parallel with education and awareness programs that prepare vulnerable communities. Finally, two priority areas requiring urgent attention are emphasized: the transition to agroecological systems and the enhancement of healthcare system capacities. It is argued that only through a multidimensional, preventive, and collaborative approach can we effectively address the challenges of climigration and move toward a more sustainable future.
