Abstract
It is a privilege to offer a brief commentary on the book General Civil Procedural Law, written by Professor Henry Sanabria Santos and published by the Universidad Externado de Colombia in 2021. In this book, the author addresses fundamental issues concerning the General Procedural Code, as well as the extinct Decree 806 of 2020, which is now transformed into Law 2213 of 2022. In the eleven chapters that comprise the book, Professor Sanabria Santos explores a range of topics, including the concept and sources of civil procedural law, jurisdiction, the parties, other parties, and third parties in the civil process, the rules of judicial proceedings, the claim and its response, preliminary objections, judicial decisions, appeals, procedural nullities, extraordinary means of concluding the process, and costs. The book also includes an appendix on Legislative Decree 806 of 2020.
