Abstract
On 26 August 2016, the module of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Universidad de Ibagué and the Colombian Academy of Jurisprudence organized an event to present the book Alfonso Reyes Echandía. Teacher, magistrate, martyr, written by Dr. Jorge Restrepo Fontalvo, within the series Artífices del pensamiento penal colombiano. On this occasion, Dr. Alfonso Reyes Alvarado, son of the immolated President of the Supreme Court of Justice and at that time Rector of the Universidad de Ibagué, addressed to the audience the words that are transcribed below.
