Abstract

This article aims to describe the challenges of a society at risk, inherited by governance principles and historical categories that have contributed to the construction of its paradigms. A society steeped in a fractured global state, with challenges that test the strength of its origin which contrasts with the free market and a multinational company that flagellates its sovereignty and traditional elements.


In this vein, it is presented a synthesis of the definition, origin of the State, chapters of the alternation in the Mexican State, criminal reform of 2008, as a panacea of due process and respect for human rights. Challenges in Criminal Science and one of its most felt expressions, the penitentiarism.
