Abstract
This research project was conducted to identify citizen initiatives that were brought about to create civil resistance, to counteract the difficulties caused by the armed conflict and were necessary for the generation of a culture of peace in the south of Tolima (Colombia). The qualitative methodology was developed through the case study method and the implementation of participatory communication diagnoses in four municipalities of southern Tolima (Ataco, Planadas, Chaparral and Rioblanco).
